take back the night tshirt draft

here are two different versions.
hopefully you like one of them, which one?
what should i change?
also, what colors? I was thinking white ink on black tees (glow in the dark?!), but there are lots of other fun combinations. like pink on purple... maybe that's not too gender neutral.
anyhow, excited to hear what you think :D

Ok sorry that was kinda impulsive commenting. Thanks for making that design! As for colors, we'll probably talk about it at the meeting (which is Monday at 7 pm in the union if you want to come) unless you have some artist's demands for certain colors... :) "everything I create must be black like my soul"

awesome! i like the first one better because "take back the night" is bigger, and because stars are pretty. it'll also be easier to screen print too since it only has 1 tone (besides her cheeks). what is in the background of #2? and glow in the dark ink would be hella cool! what is this for?

The first one seems kind of Christmasy, with those trees and the serene sky and all. Maybe more than one girl? It's a feminist movement, right? But it seems more environmental from your design. Also, the white streak swooping around the left side is... an arm? wind? snow? it's a little bit lost. I think you may already have this finalized and things, but that's my two cents!

(I ADORE the type, especially the tiny and spaced out bottom stuff. I kinda want one!)

I like the first one best because "take back the night" is bigger and I don't know I just get a great vibe from it. Awesome work lady. Miss you from a far--love, katie

hi friends,
thanks for all the feedback! it is really helpful.

caroline: i'm pretty sure the tiny font for the 2nd design is "kartika."
yea, the design does look environment oriented. if i had more time i might go back and make it a city scape w/ people. this was the first thing i sketched, i guess i was going for calm & serene = safe.

katie: thanks for checking our blog!!i'm glad you get a good vibe from the 1st one. ps. i hope you had a wonderful birthday.
